Challenge

Addressing the time constraints and organizational hurdles faced by busy couples preparing for their special day is a significant challenge. With hectic schedules and numerous tasks to manage in their normal daily lives, couples often struggle to stay organized and prioritize their wedding planning efforts effectively.

Approach

I prioritized user needs, drawing inspiration from the celebratory nature of weddings reflected in the app's name, 'Confetti'. Through user research, I addressed challenges in organizing wedding tasks efficiently. The interface, with its intuitive design and modern aesthetic, ensures seamless navigation for users, providing essential planning tools with ease. Through iterative design and testing, I delivered a delightful user experience for couples and organizers planning a special day.

Onboarding

Firstly, users will find onboarding screens to welcome them to the app, while giving them a hint of the brand’s aesthetic. These set of screens are a quick introduction to the app before the user decides to either create an account, or sign in.

Takeaway

While designing the Confetti app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Being in this project from beginning to end made me develop skills varying from identification and definition of the problem, setting target audience, research, to the definition of solution for the app. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs. The importance of having a well-defined persona and understanding the main pain points of the user that the App will help solve was crucial. The next steps will be to develop a web page and continue to improve the App’s features.
